Welcoming the Japanese official who is leading Japanese delegation of 1,000 people, PM Phúc said the Vietnamese Government and localities attached great importance to economic and cultural exchange activities between the two countries.

Diversified exchange activities including workshops, forums on economics, labour and tourism co-operation had demonstrated the strong development of the bilateral strategic partnership, he said.

According to PM Phúc, the collaboration between Việt Nam and Japan had developed into an “extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia”.

"Việt Nam always treasures Japan as a trustworthy, important and long-term partner,” he said.

Toshihiro thanked Việt Nam for the warm welcome the delegation had received, saying more than 1,000 people including representatives of the Japanese Congress, ministries, localities, enterprises and civilians had formed the largest Japanese delegation ever sent to Việt Nam.

This showed the will of the Japanese Congress, Government, localities, business sector and citizens to deepen their friendship with Việt Nam, he said.
