HÀ NỘI – Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has congratulated Ambassador of Timor Leste Jorge Trindade Neves De Camoes on fulfilling his assigned tasks during his four-year tenure in Việt Nam. 

During a reception in Hà Nội yesterday, the Government leader hailed the growing bilateral ties over the ambassador’s term. He especially pointed to growth in trade and telecommunications, which he said is partly attributable to the ambassador’s efforts. 

Expressing his wish for increased economic ties, particularly in rice trade, the PM affirmed that Việt Nam stands ready to supply rice to Timor Leste for the long-term. 

The outgoing ambassador hopes that the Vietnamese government will encourage firms to do business in Timor Leste and vowed that in any position, he will serve as a bridge to step up bilateral ties. – VNS
