HÀ NỘI - Vietnamese authorities have always closely followed developments in the East Sea, resolutely and persistently implemented measures to manage and enforce laws at sea in accordance with international law.

In recent days, fishermen have reported to press agencies that the Chinese ship Haiyang Dizhi 4 is operating in Việt Nam's exclusive economic zone.

Responding to the press on this issue, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Phạm Thu Hằng said: "Vietnamese functional agencies have always closely followed developments in the East Sea, resolutely and persistently implemented measures of maritime law enforcement and management in accordance with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and Vietnamese law to protect its legal rights”.
