Việt Nam always supports US investors: Party official

Nguyễn Văn Bình, head of the Economic Commission of the Party Central Committee, said that Việt Nam always supported and facilitated investments by US firms and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) at a reception for Adam Boehler, first CEO of the DFC, in Hà Nội on Wednesday.

HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Văn Bình, head of the Economic Commission of the Party Central Committee, said that Việt Nam always supported and facilitated investments by US firms and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) at a reception for Adam Boehler, Chief Executive Officer of the DFC, in Hà Nội on Wednesday.
Bình also spoke highly of the DFC’s role in US foreign policy and called for the expansion of its projects in Việt Nam, especially in the fields of energy, infrastructure, healthcare, aviation and finance.
The official expressed his belief the organisation would serve as a bridge to provide information on investment opportunities and potential in Việt Nam with US firms and investment funds, and that support from the DFC would be an important catalyst for a stronger wave of investment from the US into Việt Nam.

The DFC head pledged his support, and said the US would look for opportunities to invest in Việt Nam’s private economic sector, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure, thus helping ensure energy security and supporting Việt Nam’s key infrastructure projects. — VNS
