The Central Military Commission met in Hà Nội yesterday to review the implementation of military and defence tasks and discuss their future focus of work.

HÀ NỘI – The Central Military Commission met in Hà Nội yesterday to review the implementation of military and defence tasks and discuss their future focus of work. 

Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, also Secretary of the commission, chaired the meeting. 
Other participants included President Trần Đại Quang, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc – both members of the commission’s standing committee, and Defence Minister General Ngô Xuân Lịch – Vice Secretary of the commission. 
After assessing recent military and defence-related activities, the commission specified the focus of relevant upcoming work to improve the army’s strength and combat readiness, thus ensuring national protection. — VNS
