HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc said on Thursday that the terrorists who caused the death of Vietnamese citizens must be severly punished .

Speaking about the two Vietnamese citizens murdered in the Philippines by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group, the PM said: "I am very upset and angry to hear that two Vietnamese citizens were abducted and barbarically and inhumanly murdered. The terrorists who caused the deaths of Vietnamese citizens must be severely punished. I extend my condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.”

Prime Minister Phúc called on the international community to unite in fighting terrorism for the sake of peace and stability, development, and prosperity. — VNS
