Viet Nam News -HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will pay an official visit to Việt Nam from May 5-7.
The visit will be made at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc.
This year marks an important milestone in the relationship between Việt Nam and Kuwait as the two nations are celebrating 40 years of their diplomatic ties.
In 1976, right after the reunification of Việt Nam, Kuwait was among the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with Việt Nam and thirty years later, it was the very first state among the GCC countries to open its embassy in Hà Nội and its consulate general in HCM City in 2007.
Since then, the relationship has been promoted strongly between the two governments and peoples on the basis of mutual respect. — VNS
